I have got to be one of the strangest people I know. When it comes to getting a job and helping provide for my future, I get so scared that I can't even think straight...BUT when it comes to my dinner, I'm ready to fight for what I want! How messed up is that?
Yesterday, B and I ordered pizza. We did it through the online website because we got a free coupon for five dollars off and every little bit helps. Well, online there is no place to order garlic sauce. (Which I think is stupid not to have on the website) There was, however, a place to add additional comments for driver. We put "Please bring 3 Garlic sauces" See, we even said "please".
Now, my thinking was that he would bring the pizza which we had already purchased online via credit card and we would pay cash for the 3 sauces which were .50 cents a piece (but so very worth it). But Oh No! Home dude didnt want to bother bringing my sauce!!
Let me recount for you the history of what I have gone through in the past to get this sauce. I have made a personal trip up to the store once. I have called ahead of time and requested the sauce be brought which was a mess because they had to run it as two different orders. And then this time, thinking all would be much easier, I flat out didn't receive it.
The driver told us "She wouldn't let me leave the store with the sauce because they are 50 cents a piece". I was mad!! I would have paid for them!! So, I called to tell "her" that "she" just lost my business over $1.50.
Long story short...they didn't lose my business and another driver brought out ten sauces for free. I was happy and thrilled that I was able to speak my mind and get what I wanted.
It gives me hope for the job search. Maybe, when the time comes, I will be able to get what I want then too. (Still, keep praying for me...I'm still scared)
The crazy thing is....I could so see this as a sermon illustration. ;-) Have a wonderful day baby. See you soon. Love you.
ReplyDeleteMandy, does that "Speak[ing your] mind and and get[ting] what [you] want" work with B, also?
ReplyDeleteI'm proud of you! You were in the right. That makes me even prouder because you stood up for what they told you in the first place
